Rain, assassins, and Pub Quiz
The first two weeks have been fairly busy at the excavations at Villa Magna with 3 new trenches at the casale and substantial extensions at the monastery and in area D. Some very rainy days at the start of week two seem to be past, and the sun is on good form.
Meanwhile, back at the Oasi, a raging game of assassins (death by water) is ongoing. Paranoia has been running high, as nobody can be trusted. Having started with the entire project there are now only 4 people remaining, with a winner likely to be decided next week.
Last night also saw the first pub quiz of 2009, with a very tight leaderboard and a tie for first place between Grote Smurf and Team Rodolfo with 36 points. These teams will be forever immortalised on the Pub Quiz Championship trophy, the golden skateboard. Well done y’all.
