Area F2 Summary, 7-12th July 2008
A new trench was opened to the S of the casale using bobcat to remove topsoil. A round Roman structure (approx 6m diam) in opus reticulatum mixtum came to light which was filled with 20th C material and therefore already emptied to the first destruction layer. However, only when trench G is finished the excavation of F can commence, so its function remains unknown for now.
